America has expressed concern over attacks on Hindus and minorities in Bangladesh. According to news agency Reuters, State Department Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel said that the government needs to respect freedom of speech and fundamental rights.
Patel said that it is the responsibility of the government to protect the interests of minorities. He said that the detained people should get a chance to present their views. They should be treated according to human rights.
British MPs have also expressed concern over the attacks on the Hindu community in Bangladesh. Labor Party MP Barry Gardiner said that the British government is monitoring the situation in Bangladesh. Opposition Conservative Party MP Bob Blackman said that efforts are being made to eliminate Hindus in Bangladesh after Sheikh Hasina is out of power.
During a debate in the House of Commons, Blackman said that houses of Hindus have been burnt in Bangladesh. Their shops and houses are being vandalized. Priests are being arrested.

Hasina said- Mohammad Yunus is responsible for attacks on minorities Tension has increased in Bangladesh after the arrest of Hindu leader Chinmoy Krishna Das. Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has blamed the head of the interim government, Mohammad Yunus, for the attacks and killings on minorities. While virtually addressing a seminar in New York on Tuesday, Hasina said-
“I am being blamed for the mass murders in Bangladesh, but in reality it is Mohammad Yunus who is in collusion with student leaders and is involved in the mass murders.
Hasina said-
In Bangladesh, teachers and police are being attacked and killed. Hindus, Buddhists and Christians are being targeted.
Hasina said, the people of Yunus government are the masterminds of mass murders. Even Tariq Rehman (Khaleda Zia's son) from London has said that if deaths continue, the government will not run.”
Hasina said- I did not want genocide, that is why I decided to leave the country.
On the other hand, Bangladesh Foreign Ministry has issued summons to Indian High Commissioner Prannoy Verma in Dhaka. Actually, Bangladesh Mission was attacked in Agartala on Monday, Bangladesh had expressed displeasure over this.
