Last Saturday night, 11 junior students including first year Anil were ragged.
Anil Methania was a first year student of Dharpur Medical College. On Saturday night, 11 junior students including Anil were ragged. After standing for hours Anil fell and became unconscious. He was admitted to the hospital, where he himself told the police that he was kept standing for three hours.
Anil's cousin Gaurav said- How can students whose mentality is to hurt others work in a service sector like medicine? What kind of doctors will they become?
The education of such people with criminal mentality should be stopped and life imprisonment should be given. Anil was an intelligent student. He was the first son in our family to do MBBS. He would become a doctor in the future.

Anil had died before we reached: Gaurav Gaurav said, “We got a call at night and were told that Anil has been admitted to the hospital. We were asked to go to the hospital as soon as possible.”
Our family lives in Surendranagar district of Gujarat, 150 km away from the medical college. Four of us reached the hospital around 4 am and we came to know that my brother had died and the body had been sent for postmortem. The college dean and police were present there, we came to know that ragging had taken place. Seniors are being interrogated.
11 freshers were ragged The anti-ragging committee of the college recorded statements of 26 students and found that 15 seniors had ragged 11 freshers. According to the FIR, the first year students were made to stand for hours and were forced to sing, dance and use abusive language.
UGC has banned ragging in all forms in schools and colleges. Strict action has been taken against those who indulge in ragging or promote ragging. Despite this, reports of ragging are coming from colleges.
