Kumari Selja with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.
After the defeat in the Haryana Assembly elections, the stature of former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda seems to be weakening. Kumari Selja's supporters are also continuously blaming the defeat on Hooda group. After this, the Congress high command is keeping its every step in full swing.

In view of the assembly elections to be held in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, Congress seems to be in a mood to make big changes. Congress can give big responsibility to Sirsa MP Kumari Selja. There are discussions that he can be made the National General Secretary (Organization). Till now KC Venugopal is handling this responsibility.
These discussions gained further momentum when the list of star campaigners for the Maharashtra Assembly elections was released on 29 October. Usually such lists were issued by KC Venugopal only. This time the list was released by Kumari Selja. Only the name of Rajya Sabha MP from Haryana Randeep Singh Surjewala was there in it.
Hooda's influence in ticket distribution
Congress got 37 seats in Haryana Assembly elections. Congress had contested the elections under the leadership of former CM Bhupendra Hooda. From ticket distribution to the rallies of star campaigners, Hooda had more influence. Kumari Selja was not seen anywhere on the front. The Congress high command has also considered this as a major reason for the defeat in Haryana. Due to this factionalism the organization became weak.
Expert said – change in Congress Need
Principal of Karnal DAV College and political expert RP Saini said that considering the situation prevailing in Congress, there is a need for change. Congress needs to make changes in its organization or its way of working. Congress needs to work, not churn. Another leader should be given a chance, so that Congress can move forward. An opportunity should be given to such a leader who can take the entire Congress along.
Gogi said- routine work
An attempt was made to talk to Kumari Selja regarding the discussions about getting responsibility in Congress, but she did not pick up the call. When former Assandh MLA and Selja supporter Shamsher Singh Gogi was talked to in this regard, he told that there is nothing like that. Since all the leaders are out and it is possible that Kumari Selja may be in Delhi that day, she might have got her signed on the Maharashtra list, this is a routine work.
There is no need for confusion. It is true that she was present in Delhi, the list was sent by the high command and she signed it and released it. Therefore he signed instead of Organization Minister. According to the rules, only the General Secretary who is present at the headquarters will sign. There may be changes in the future, but nothing like this right now.
