Positive story- Papa's grocery shop, son's AI company: Turnover 25 crores; Paid the college fees by selling the house, even came to the point of selling the company.

Sector 48 area of Gurugram adjacent to Delhi. There is a company here- taglabs

,

I have come to meet its founder Hariom Seth. It is the day after Diwali. Due to holidays, there are very few employees in the office, who are working on different systems.

Hariom along with his team is feeding something into the laptop with the help of hardware. When asked, he says, 'On November 8, it is the farewell of Supreme Court Chief Justice DY Chandrachud. Before this, we have to prepare a digital museum equipped with AI. Preparations for the same are going on.

An advocate made of AI in black dress is visible on the system in front. Hariom asks in English about some cases related to the Supreme Court.

Answers start coming from the front. Hariom says, 'This is what we do. We provide AI based digital solutions to different sectors.

Hariom Seth, founder of Tablabs, is in conversation with an AI based advocate. Asking questions related to law.

Some visuals related to Bombay High Court are being edited on the front table. Explaining these works, Hariom says, 'Today is the era of AI. The Supreme Court Museum is being made digital.

Suppose there is a statue of Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar in the museum. People will see this statue, but in reality it will be AI based. There will be no physical image. Any person can ask Baba Saheb all the questions related to the Constitution, and he will get the answer.

Similarly, we are currently working on different concepts. From gaming industry to tech industry, ad industry and government sector, they are providing AI based digital services.

Hariom is talking about visuals fed with AI technology. Through this anyone can take a virtual tour of that location.

From Hariom's words it seems that he has studied robotics or AI. Has been a student of B.Tech.

When asked, he laughs and says, 'I have studied fashion technology. It took a long time to reach here. I come from a middle class family.

We are residents of Punjab. It was around 1975. After some dispute at home, father came to Delhi at a very young age to earn. For many years he worked in different companies.

Worked from carrying sacks to guarding. He lived in a room built on the roof of the company in which he worked. Meanwhile he got married. After I was born, father opened a small grocery shop.

The condition at home was so bad that I had only one school dress. Every day after returning from school, my mother would wash it and dry it, so that I could wear the same dress the next day. At that time it did not seem that we were in trouble, but today it seems.

This is Hariom's family photo. In this he is with his parents and wife.

Showing his father's photograph, Hariom says, 'Despite being in such a situation, my parents never let us realize that we are poor. He taught me in a good school. Never let him face any problem. Papa used to work overtime, 18 hours, 24 hours.

I myself have worked with my father at a grocery store. Every day after coming back from school he used to go to the shop. Today people will think that the grocer's son is running an AI based company. The business is worth crores.

It is about 2004. After 12th went to NIFT Mumbai. Actually, admission was done in this only, so there was no other option. There was trouble in this also. Every year I used to think that I have taken admission in the wrong course.

NIFT fees are also very high. Papa sold one floor of the house with his hard-earned money to pay my college fees.

There was a time when Hariom did not get a job even in college placement. Today a team of more than 70 people works with him.

Hariom says, 'Even after studying from NIFT for four years, when companies came for placement, I did not get a job. It is about 2008-09. Started visiting companies for job.

It's just a matter of college. Had planned two startups before looking for a job. Both failed. Even the money invested from home was lost in second hand business.

Actually, he started the event planning business with two of his friends. There was loss in this. Later both the friends also left. What would one do alone? Had to close the business.

Till 2011, he worked with some music companies, but after that he started working on his own ideas. The beginning of 'Tag Labs' started with the concept of digital feedback and review. There was a reason behind this, by 2010 the digital era had started.

At this time every company started creating its own social account. I started providing digital solutions to these companies. Did a business of Rs 50 lakh in just a few months.

The tagline of Hariom's company Taglabs is Creative Engineer. His company works for AI, animation, gaming, ad industry.

Hariom tells an incident from 2020. He says, 'This was the year when I felt that the company would have to be closed. Everything was closed due to Corona. We had no work. The company was in crisis since 2018.

The bank had a loan of Rs 2.5 crore. Thought that even after selling the entire assets of the company, I would not be able to repay the entire amount. A company was also offered to buy its company. Papa supported me even at that time. He also sold the second floor of the house.

During this time I added AI to digital services. Brought new features to the market. There was a feature in which we or you, anyone can replace the face of the actor seen in an ad with the help of AI. Can see myself with that actor. Can feel.

Hariom used to ride this bike earlier. Now this virtual bike is used for gaming applications. Many types of technologies have been fed into it.

There is a bike kept in Hariom's company. He explains, 'The game we play is based on this. With the help of technology it is made virtual. Work continues on such different projects.

Thanks to the team we are doing well in the tech world. When I was in NIFT, I was wondering why I came here. Today I understand both fashion i.e. creativity and technology. Last year we did a turnover of Rs 25 crore. This year the projection is around Rs 50 crore.
