Hemant Soren government again in Jharkhand: INDIA alliance won 56 seats; Posters put up in Ranchi – Sher Dil Soren has come again – Jharkhand News

Hemant Soren of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is going to form the government again in Jharkhand elections. In the results declared on November 23, JMM alliance i.e. INDIA block won 56 out of 81 assembly seats.

INDIA block won 15 seats more than the majority. JMM alone got 34 seats. The BJP alliance could win only 24 seats. That means the majority was left behind by 13 seats.

However, JMM's vote share is 23.47%, while BJP's vote share is almost 10 percentage points higher at 33.20%.

After the results, Chief Minister Soren said that India's performance in the elections was good. On the other hand, posters are being put up on the streets of Ranchi that Sherdil Soren is back again.

In the 2019 assembly elections, JMM won 30, Congress 16 and RJD won one seat. There was an alliance of all three parties. Then JMM leader Hemant Soren became the Chief Minister. BJP had got 25 seats.

Also, Hemant government decided not to charge any electricity bill if the state consumes up to 200 units of electricity every month. Apart from this, the outstanding bill amount till August 2024 has also been waived. Soren benefited from the announcement of electricity bill and farmer loan waiver.
