Dense fog alert in 7 states including MP-UP: Temperature reaches 6.5º in Rajasthan, visibility 50 meters; snowfall in kashmir

The effect of cold and fog is continuously increasing in the country. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of dense fog in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana and Bihar.

The effect of cold is most visible in Rajasthan. The minimum temperature in Fatehpur, Sikar reached 6.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Due to fog in Bharatpur today, visibility remained less than 50 meters.

On the other hand, in Madhya Pradesh too, dense fog was seen in Bhopal, Gwalior, Bhind, Morena and Datia. Due to this the visibility reduced considerably. The Meteorological Department has said that due to snowfall in the mountains, cold has increased in MP.

Snowfall continues in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The snowfall in Sonamarg that started on Monday evening continued on Tuesday morning also. Due to this, a drop in temperature was recorded across North India.

Many roads were closed due to snowfall in Pahalgam on Monday morning.

There was snowfall in Chandanwadi of Kashmir also on Monday morning. The number of tourists here is continuously increasing.

There was fog in Jaisalmer on Monday morning. However, the fog reduced during the day.

Visibility reduced due to fog in Agra, Uttar Pradesh on Monday morning. Tourists who came to see Taj Mahal faced problems.

There was heavy rain in Thanjhavur, Karnataka on Sunday evening. There is a rain alert here even today.

Heavy rain in Tamil Nadu, school holiday in Thanjavur

The Tamil Nadu Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in the state today and tomorrow i.e. 18 and 19 November. However, the state has already received heavy rainfall overnight, with substantial rainfall recorded in the delta areas. The rainfall that started late Sunday night in many districts of Tamil Nadu continued till Monday morning. The Meteorological Department said that the highest rainfall of 17.5 cm was recorded in Vedaranyam. After that Kodiyakarai received 13.4 cm rainfall. Thiruvarur also received heavy rainfall. Thiruthuraipoondi recorded 7 cm rainfall in just two hours. Many places in Thanjavur including Pattukottai Clock Tower and bus station were flooded.
