Maserati GranTurismo sports car launched in the Indian market: The car can run at a speed of 100kmph in just 3.5 seconds, starting price ₹ 2.72 crore

Italian luxury car maker Maserati has today (30 August) launched the second generation super sports car Maserati GranTurismo in the Indian market. The company claims that the car can run at a speed of 100kmph in just 3.5 seconds.

Maserati offers the car in two variants – Modena and Trofeo. The Modena variant is priced at Rs 2.72 crore and the top-spec Trofeo starts at Rs 2.90 crore (both prices ex-showroom, India).

In India, the GranTurismo competes with other GT cars such as the BMW M8 Competition (Rs 2.44 crore), Ferrari Roma (Rs 3.76 crore) and Aston Martin DB12 (Rs 4.59 crore). The company said that it will launch the all-electric variant of the car, the GranTurismo Folgore, next year.
