Honda Cars today (26 October) has recalled more than 90 thousand vehicles due to technical fault. These include the Amaze subcompact sedan, Brio hatchback, BR-V SUV, City compact sedan, Jazz premium hatchback and WR-V subcompact SUV. Honda has given this information in a regulatory filing.
This recall of the Japanese car company includes models manufactured between June-2017 to October-2018. Honda told the market regulator that 92,672 vehicles sold in the Indian market have been recalled due to a defect in the fuel pump. These include 2,204 vehicles in which fuel pumps were replaced earlier also.
Company will replace defective parts for free Honda says that these cars may have a fuel pump with a bad propeller, which can cause the engine to either stall or have trouble starting.
The car manufacturer will contact customers in different phases from November 5. Vehicle owners will be informed about replacement of defective parts. No fee will be charged from the customer for this.
Customers can check whether their vehicle is included in the recall by visiting the Product Update/Recall page through the Service tab on the Honda Cars India website and providing the VIN of their car.
