Honda recalls 300cc and 350cc bikes: Recalled due to defects in wheel speed sensor and camshaft, company will replace parts for free

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has recalled 300cc and 350cc bikes in its lineup due to technical problems. The company's recall includes 5 models.

The company told the market regulator that these motorcycles have been recalled to fix problems in wheel speed sensors and camshafts. However, the company has not disclosed their number.

Braking system may be damaged

Faulty wheel speed sensor: Honda said that improper molding process was done while manufacturing Honda CB300F, CB300R, CB350, H'ness CB350 and CB350RS made between October 2020 and April 2024. Due to this, water can enter the wheel speed sensor, and it can get damaged. If the sensor gets damaged, the speedometer, traction control or ABS may malfunction. Due to this defect, the braking system will not work properly and a serious accident can occur with a bike moving at high speed.Camshaft Malfunction: At the same time, a defect has been found in the camshaft component of Honda CB350, CB350RS and H'ness CB350 manufactured between June 2024 and July 2024. Honda said that the camshaft affects the mechanicals of the bike. If it is damaged, it does not allow the bike to perform well. The company also said that at present there has been no complaint of any kind of accident due to these problems.

No charges will be levied on the customer The company has asked customers to take their motorcycle to the BigWing dealership, where the defect will be rectified. For this, customers will have to book an appointment for their bike.

Appointment can be booked from Honda BigWing website For this, bike owners can visit the Honda BigWing Website and look for the 'Recall Campaign' option on the homepage. Here you will be asked to select your motorcycle model and feed in the 17-digit VIN/chassis number to check if your bike is affected by either or both of these problems.
