Hero MotoCorp is going to launch the facelift of the Destiny 125 scooter in the Indian market today (September 7). Earlier, the two-wheeler maker company has released teasers on the social media platform X.
According to the teaser, the scooter will get LED projector headlamp and a long seat. Apart from this, the upcoming Hero Destiny 125 Extreme will also see improvements in styling along with many new features and updated engine.
The ex-showroom price of the upcoming Destiny 125 can be kept between Rs 85,000 and Rs 90,000. The new scooter will compete with Suzuki Access 125, TVS Jupiter 125 and Honda Activa 125 in the 125cc segment.
Body color rear view mirrors will be available in the scooter.
Design: H-shaped LED DRL will be available In the teaser video, the front look of the scooter looks completely different from the current Hero Destiny 125. Also, it now looks more stylish and comfortable. The biggest update in this is the H-shaped LED DRL. Continuing the 'family-scooter' theme, the design is fresh but simple and boxy.
The upcoming scooter has a long seat with an integrated backrest. The front apron also has mounted turn indicators. The design of the tail light and rear indicators is quite advanced and attractive. Currently, only the white color of the scooter has been shown, which gives it a premium look. The new Destiny 125 has brass accents all over the scooter including the front and rear panels as well as the rearview mirror.
The updated Destiny 125 Xtec will get a longer seat and alloy wheels.
Performance: Updated engine expected The updated Destiny 125 Xtec can be made a little more powerful than the current model. In such a situation, its engine can be updated. It will have the 124.6cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine found in the current model, which generates 9bhp of power at 7000rpm and 10.4Nm of torque at 5500rpm.
For transmission, it will get a CVT unit. Apart from this, a new semi-digital instrument console is also expected in the scooter and the alloy wheels look like the new Hero Zoom 110.
Features like turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts Talking about the hardware, the scooter will have the option of telescopic forks in the front and monoshocks in the rear. It has 12-inch alloy wheels on both sides, of which there will be a disc on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear wheel. In terms of features, the scooter will have advanced features. The scooter will support smartphone connectivity, which will have features like turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts.
