Delhi developer buys JioHotstar.com domain: Now asks for Rs 94 lakh to sell to Reliance, dreams of studying in Cambridge

A Delhi-based app developer has claimed to have bought the domain of Jio Hotstar. The boy has posted a letter on https://jiohotstar.com. Through the letter, he has demanded £93,345 (about Rs 94 lakh) from Reliance in exchange for giving the domain.

According to the developer, he will give this domain to Reliance only if the company funds him for further studies. The developer is looking to raise funds towards tuition fees to study an EMBA at the University of Cambridge.

The developer said that Reliance's Assistant Vice President (Commercials) Ambujesh Yadav had contacted him and discussed about the domain, but he has rejected the offer. Reliance has asked to take legal action regarding the domain name.

Dainik Global News Daily checked the URL and it actually leads to a page where a letter from the app developer addressed to the Reliance Industries management is visible.
