Jio and Airtel have cut the prices of Calling+SMS only tariff plan. After the action of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India i.e. TRAI, Jio has reduced by Rs 210 and Airtel has reduced by Rs 110.
In fact, TRAI recently ordered telecom companies to give the option of Voice+SMS only pack separately for its users. After this, the companies released only the new tariff plans of voice calling + SMS, but they kept them with data and removed only data from them.
That is, the companies removed the old plan and updated the data, but did not reduce the price. TRAI had said to review the calling+SMS only tariff plan issued by companies.
Customers are not beneficial in new tariff plan Customers do not get any benefit from the new tariff plan of companies, but there would be losses. For example, earlier Airtel's annual plan was Rs 1999. In this, customers used to get 24 GB of data, but the company removed 24GB of data from it and this plan was launched only in the name of voice plan.
Now Airtel has priced the 365 -day validity plan at Rs 1849, with unlimited voice calling and 3,600 SMS. Apart from this, it is also being provided with Apollo 24/7 Circle Membership and Free Hello Tunes for 3 months.
