When the Indian players once again asked whether they would have to play with the new ball, the umpire said that they would play with the same ball. Within hours of the controversy, Cricket Australia issued a statement denying the incident of ball tampering and saying – 'The umpire had changed the ball because the shape of the ball had deteriorated. No action will be taken against other players including Kishan. The match referee has not found anyone guilty.
