The weightlifting events in the 38th National Sports thrilled sports lovers. While many athletes set new records with their strong performance, they made their place in the medal table.

Varma of Chandigarh in the women's 81 kg category won the gold medal by picking up a total of 208 kg (Snatch -93 kg, Clean and Jerk – 115 kg). Manpreet of Punjab won a silver medal with 197 kg (Snatch -85 kg, Clean and Jerk -112 kg). While Anjana Srijit of Kerala was successful in winning the bronze medal by picking up the 196 kg.

Arokya Alish won gold by picking up 221 kg
In the women's 87 kg category, Arokya Alish of Tamil Nadu won a total of 221 kg and won the gold medal. Madusmrita Barua of Assam won silver with 208 kg and Usha of Karnataka won the bronze medal by lifting 197 kg weight.
Male broke record in splendor in 102 kg category
In the men's 102 kg category, Vaishav Shahaji Thakur of Maharashtra broke the national record by picking up a 160 kg snatch. However, Jagdish Vishwakarma of Services won the gold medal by winning the total performance. Vaishav received a silver medal, while Harshit Sehrawat of Haryana won a bronze medal by lifting a 329 kg weight.
Harcharan won gold in men's 109 kg category
In the men's 109 kg category, Harcharan Singh of Rajasthan won a total of 347 kg (Snatch -160 kg, Clean and Jerk – 187 kg) and won the gold medal. Mohammad Jamir Hussain of Services became a silver medalist with 337 kg.
Manish of Haryana tried to set a 193 kg national record in Clean and Jerk, but failed and had to be satisfied with a bronze medal with a total of 331 kg weight.
