Mushtaq Ali Trophy first semi-final: Baroda gave Mumbai a target of 159 runs; Shivalik scored the maximum 36 runs

The first semi-final match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) is being played between Mumbai and Baroda at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday. Baroda has given Mumbai a target of 159 runs to win.

Mumbai won the toss and decided to bowl. Baroda scored 158 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Shivalik Sharma played an unbeaten inning of 36 runs on 24 balls. Opener Shashwat Rawat scored 33 runs, captain Krunal Pandya scored 30 runs and Atit Sheth scored 22 runs. Hardik Pandya was out after scoring 5 runs. Suryansh Shej took 2 wickets. Mohit Awasthi, Shardul Thakur, Shivam Dubey, Tanush Kotian and Atharva Ankolekar took one wicket each.

Mumbai, chasing runs, has scored 61 runs for one wicket in 6 overs. Captain Shreyas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane are at the crease. Prithvi Shaw was out after scoring 8 runs. Hardik Pandya sent him to the pavilion.
