Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman has been appointed the coach of Team India for the South Africa tour. Team India's head coach Gautam Gambhir has to go on Australia tour. In such a situation, Laxman has been made the coach of the white ball team.
Cricket website Cricbaaz claimed that Laxman has been made, although BCCI has not confirmed this. The Indian team has to go on South Africa tour next month. This series will be played from 8th November.
Bahutule, Kanitkar and Ghosh also included in the coaching staff Along with Laxman, Sairaj Bahutule, Hrishikesh Kanitkar and Subhadeep Ghosh associated with the National Cricket Academy will go as sporting staff. Bahutule was recently the head coach of India A for the Emerging Asia Cup. Whereas, Kanitkar was the batting coach and Subhadeep Ghosh was the fielding coach.
The team will leave for South Africa around November 4. India will play four Char T20 Internationals on November 8, 10, 13 and 15 in Durban, Gabera, Centurion and Johannesburg respectively. BCCI on October 25 (Friday) announced a 15-member squad led by Suryakumar Yadav for four T20 matches.
India-A was defeated by Afghanistan by 20 runs in the semi-finals of the Emerging Asia Cup-2024. Later the Afghan team also became champion.
Clean sweep in home series against Bangladesh Team India had made a clean sweep of 3-0 in the 3-match home series against Bangladesh this month. Hardik Pandya was the player of the series in this series. He scored 118 runs and also took one wicket. Also, in the third match, Sanju Samson scored his first century in T-20 International.

Australia rested test players before BGT
Cricket Australia (CA) has rested its Test players before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India. CA's selection committee on Monday released the squad for the T20 series against Pakistan. The captain of this team has not been announced, the name of the new captain of the team will be decided soon.
