Indian team management's decision – No rest on Diwali: Rohit-Kohli and Bumrah will take part in 2 training sessions before the third match.

No player of Team India will rest during Diwali. All the players will prepare for the Mumbai Test which is going to start from November 1. After losing the series against New Zealand, the Indian team management has decided not to hold optional training sessions.

Before the third Test, Team India will practice in 2 training sessions in Mumbai. All players will have to compulsorily attend these sessions. In such a situation, even senior players like Rohit, Kohli and Bumrah will not get rest during Diwali.

The Indian Express has quoted sources as saying that the team management has asked all the players to be present for two days of practice on October 30 and 31. This is a mandatory training session, players cannot skip it. Usually, to keep the players fresh before the match, an optional training session is organized in which those players who need training take part. The remaining players rest.
