Indian vice -captain Shubman Gill has said, a series cannot decide the entire team form. After team practice in Nagpur on Tuesday, he said, there are many players in the team, who have performed well in many tournaments and series.

The Indian team lost 3–1 in the 5-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy series in Australia. In the series, star batsmen Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill themselves were completely flopped.

Gill said, if Bumrah had not been injured, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy would have been drawn.

First match in Nagpur The Indian ODI team will play the first match of the 3 -match ODI series against England starting on 6 February in Nagpur. With this series, India will also strengthen its preparation for the Champions Trophy starting on February 19.
