Afghan all-rounder Nabi announced his retirement: Said- Champions Trophy is my last tournament; Debuted in 2009

Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has announced his retirement from ODI cricket. Nabi will retire from ODI cricket after the ICC Champions Trophy to be held in 2025. However, Nabi will continue playing T-20 cricket.

Nabi was the Player of the Series in the recent ODI series against Bangladesh. He scored 135 runs in 3 matches and also took 2 wickets.

Mohammad Nabi had played an inning of 84 runs in the first match against Bangladesh.

The former Afghanistan captain said that the thought of retirement was on my mind since the 2023 World Cup, but we qualified for the Champions Trophy and I thought that if I play here, it will be good for both the team and me. . The 38-year-old Nabi made his ODI debut for Afghanistan in 2009 against Scotland. He has so far scored 3600 runs in 167 ODI matches. He has also scored 17 fifties and 2 centuries. Nabi has taken 172 wickets in bowling. He is the player who has played the most matches for Afghanistan. Nabi is currently at the first position in the ODI all-rounder rankings.
