Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has closed the option of changing subject or faculty for class 12th students, that is, now students will not be able to change their subject after 11th.
Students can apply for correction of any subject related mistake till 31st December. A fine of Rs 500 will have to be paid for one subject.
Students will not be able to change stream in 11th
According to the new guidelines, MP Board has implemented this curriculum for two years. Now students will have to continue the subject or faculty selected in class 11th in the next year also, they will not be able to change it. For example, if a student has chosen Maths subject in 11th, then he will have to continue that subject in the next year i.e. 12th also. Changes cannot be made in this subject.
After this new guideline, students studying in Maths stream will not have the option to switch to Commerce or Arts. This facility was given to students till three years ago.
There is an option to change subject and stream in CBSE board in 12th.
Students will be able to get error correction done till 31st December
The error correction facility is online and if there is any mistake then correction can be done with a fine. In this, students can change the subject but they will not have the option to change the stream. For error correction facility, 11th mark sheet and certificate will have to be uploaded on MP online portal. Correction will be valid only if the student has studied the same subject in class 11th.
There is an option to change stream in CBSE board.
MPSEB has included most of the CBSE syllabus from class 9th to 12th in its board. CBSE gives students the option to change the subject in class 12th with a charge of Rs 1,000, but MPSEB has not made the subject options flexible. Many parents and students in Madhya Pradesh are demanding this provision that they should be given this option.
