Train trials of the country's first vertical liftup bridge were done. The length of the Pamban Bridge in Rameswaram is 2 km. Pamban Bridge is the country's first vertical lift up bridge. It has been prepared at a cost of Rs 531 crore.
Pamban Bridge connects Rameswaram to Tamil Nadu.
