1. Mahakumbh Mela becomes the 76th district of Uttar Pradesh
The Uttar Pradesh government declared the Mahakumbh area of ​​Prayagraj as a new district on December 1. It will be known as 'Maha Kumbh Mela District'. Till now there were a total of 75 districts in UP, but now there are 76 districts.
According to the notification issued by DM Prayagraj, there will be a total of 67 villages in this district consisting of 4 tehsils. Four tehsils include Sadar, Soraon, Phulpur and Karchana tehsil. Till now these tehsils came in Prayagraj district.
