Indian people trust waiters serving food more than the police, civil servants, politicians, government ministers or lawyers. Doctors, teachers and scientists are trusted the most all over the world including India. However, people are hesitant to trust social media influencers and leaders. These figures have been revealed in the 'IPSOS Global Trustworthy Index 2024'. IPSOS is a French multinational company. It does market research and consultation work.
Doctors are most trusted in the world In this survey conducted on 32 countries, people of all countries have shown the most trust in doctors. 57% people in India trust doctors. Apart from this, Armed Forces, Scientists, Judges and Bankers are also trusted more in the country. At the same time, people across the world trust politicians and social media influencers the least.
40% Indian people trust leaders Not many people around the world trust politicians, civil servants and government ministers, but Indians are ahead in this matter. 40% of Indian people trust politicians and 41% of Indian people trust government ministers. Similarly, only 19% people across the world trust advertising executives, i.e. people who make ads, whereas in India, 43% people trust them. According to statistics, Indians trust leaders and ministers more than other countries, but if compared with other professions, a different thing emerges. In comparison to other professions, leaders, ministers and religious leaders are trusted the least in India.

- Leaders – 31% Indians do not trust. Government ministers – 28% Indians do not trust. Religious leaders – 27% Indians do not trust. Police – 26% Indians do not trust. Journalists – 25% Indians do not trust.
Boomers consider what influencers say as lies For the first time, influencers were included as a category in the survey. Only 15% of people worldwide trust social media influencers. In this also, people's opinions differ according to generation. While 20% of Gen Z trust influencers, only 9% of Baby Boomers trust influencers. That means people born years before the advent of social media do not listen to social media influencers. At the same time, people born in the time of social media believe in influencers.
Survey was conducted on 32 countries This survey was conducted by IPSOS on 32 countries between 24 May and 7 June. This included 23,530 adults. 2,200 Indians were included in the survey, out of which 1800 people were interviewed face to face and 400 people were interviewed online. Most of the Indians included in the survey come from Tier 1, 2 or 3, that is, most of the people are urban.
