First merit list of Delhi Nursery 2025-26 admission released: Second list will come in February; Admissions will close on March 14

The first merit list for admission in Delhi School (Pre-School/Nursery/Pre-Primary/KG/Class 1) will be released today on 17th January. Allotment will be done on the basis of marks in school merit list and waiting list.

Parents will get 10 days time

After the release of the merit list, parents will be given 10 days to resolve their queries. In this, parents can ask their questions through email or in person. After that the second merit list will be released.

According to Rohini's Sovereign School Principal Prateek Gupta, more registrations have been done this year than last year.

More than 1,700 schools will be included

Around 1,741 private schools are participating in the Delhi Nursery Admission process. According to a media report, Prateek Gupta, Principal of Sovereign School, Rohini, had said in December, 'This year we received more than 2 thousand registrations for nursery admission, which is more than the registration done last year.

According to Venkateshwar School Principal Manisha Sharma, 'This year we have received around 3,600 nursery registrations, which is much more than previous years.'

In the admission notification, Delhi Directorate (DoE) has said that any donation related to admission is a punishable offence. If this happens, schools may have to pay a fine ten times more than the donation received.

It has been said that there will be a single admission process for pre-school and main school related classes in schools.

Admission Registration Fee

The registration fee for Delhi Nursery Admission 2025 is only Rs 25. Parents will have to pay Rs 25 for the school for which they will fill the admission form. This payment is in online mode.

Admission Age Limit

For nursery admission, the child's age should be less than four years. This age must be less than five years for KG class and less than six years for class first.

Admission Criteria

Distance of home from school is also an important criterion for parents in nursery admission. Along with this, being a single child, girl child, single girl child, having siblings in school or being single parents is also an important criterion. There are separate criteria for Minority, Economically Backward Class (EWS) and Disadvantage Group (DG) in nursery admission.

Admission Point System

A 100 point system is adopted for nursery admission, in which points are given according to different criteria.

More marks are given for shorter distance of the school from home. 50 marks are given if the child's home is within a radius of 6 km from the school. 40 marks are given if the child's home is within a radius of 6 to 8 km.8 30 marks are given if the child's house is within a radius of 15 km from the school.

Visit the official website of DoE, edudel.nic.in. Click on the link Delhi Nursery Admission 2025. Fill the required credentials, upload the documents. After paying the fees, submit the form.

Question: What is the age for nursery admission in Delhi?

answer: In case of tie between applications for admission to Nursery, KG and Class 1, lottery will be conducted using computerized system or by draw in the presence of parents. The circular states that the draw will be videographed and the school will retain this footage.

answer: Relaxation in minimum and maximum age for classes can be given for admission up to 30 days. Parents can contact school heads or principals to ask for age relaxation through manual application.
