1. PM Modi unveiled development projects worth Rs 6,640 crore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 15 unveiled development projects worth Rs 6,640 crore in Bihar's Jamui district. The PM had reached Jamui to participate in a function organized on the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, which is celebrated as 'Tribal Pride Day'.

On the occasion, PM Modi also released a commemorative coin and postage stamp in Munda's honour.

PM Modi also virtually participated in the 'Griha Pravesh' of 11,000 houses built for tribal families under the Pradhan Mantri Tribal Justice Maha Abhiyan (PM-Janman). He also inaugurated 23 Mobile Medical Units (MMU) under PM-Janman for tribal areas. And launched 30 additional MMUs under Dharti Aba Tribal Village Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA). He also launched 10 Eklavya Model Residential Schools and 300 Van Dhan Vikas Inaugurated centres, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and improving livelihoods. He inaugurated 2 Tribal Freedom Fighters Museums at Chhindwara and Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, he also made efforts to preserve the history of tribal communities. 3. President Dissanayake's alliance won in the Sri Lankan parliamentary elections: President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's coalition 'National People's Power (NPP)' has won the Sri Lankan parliamentary elections on 15 November. Till now the results of all the seats have been declared. NPP has won 141 seats out of 196 seats to be decided on the basis of districts.

According to the results, NPP has got 61% i.e. 68 lakh votes.

4. India successfully tests Pinak rocket launcher: India has successfully tested 'Pinaka Weapon System' on 14 November. This test was done by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). During testing, its firepower, accuracy and power to attack multiple targets simultaneously were tested.

Pinak Rocket Launcher System is named after 'Pinak', the bow of Lord Shiva.

It has been developed by DRDO's Pune-based Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE). It has six launch vehicles in one battery. It has loader systems, radar and network based systems and links with a command post. There are 2 versions of it. The first is Mark-I, which has a range of 40 kilometers and the second is Mark-II, which has a range of 75 kilometers. There are plans to increase its range to 120-300 kilometers. Pinaka Rocket Launcher System consists of 12 rockets of 214 mm. The speed of the rockets makes it the most dangerous. Its speed is 5,757 kilometers per hour, which means it attacks at a speed of 1.61 kilometers in one second. Before this, 24 tests were conducted in the year 2023. This system has been completely made in the country. This system only takes 44 seconds. It can fire 12 rockets, i.e. one rocket every 4 seconds. It was tested at three different places. A total of 24 rockets were fired from two launchers. All these rockets managed to hit their targets successfully. Guided Pinaka system has been prepared by DRDO scientists. Many companies also contributed in making it, like – Munitions India Limited and Tata Advanced Systems. This system is now completely ready to join the army.

5. AFSPA re-imposed in 6 areas of Manipur: Armed Forces Special Protection Act (AFSPA) has been re-imposed in 6 police stations of 5 districts of Manipur. It will remain effective till 31 March 2025. The Home Ministry issued its order on Thursday, November 14.

The Home Ministry has taken the decision due to the deteriorating security situation in these 6 areas.

With the implementation of AFSPA, the army and paramilitary forces can detain anyone for questioning at any time in these areas. The order includes Sekmai and Lamsang of Imphal West district, Lamlai of Imphal East district, Jiribam of Jiribam district, Kangpokpi of Leimakhong and Moirang police station of Bishnupur district are included. AFSPA is implemented only in disturbed areas. Security forces in these places without warrant Can arrest anyone. In many cases, force can also be used. This law was passed on September 11, 1958 for the convenience of security forces in the North-East. Due to increase in terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir in 1989, AFSPA was implemented here in 1990. 6. Reliance-Disney merger completed: Disney Star India and Reliance's Viacom-18 have now become one. This also includes Disney Hotstar and Jio Cinema. Both these companies announced this on Thursday, November 14. After this merger, it has become the largest entertainment network in the country.

Kevin Vaz will be the head of the entertainment organization. Kiran Mani will take charge of the digital organization. At the same time, Sanjog Gupta will lead the sports organization.
