Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Samastipur, Bihar has been bought by Rajasthan Royals team in IPL for Rs 1.10 crore. 13 year old Vaibhav, who has played Ranji Trophy, is a top order batsman, who is now ready to show his strength in the IPL.
Vaibhav's father Sanjeev himself is a good cricketer. When he could not move forward due to circumstances, he decided to make his son a cricketer and became his coach. Sanjeev took a loan for this and even had to sell his land. His jewelery shop was closed.
Sanjeev says, 'When Vaibhav was a child, I had to travel with him across the state. I used to keep following him. Spent a lot of money. He also understood this and worked hard.

Players selected in the trials can later play Ranji Trophy for Railways. Those who perform better in Ranji have a chance of getting selected in the Indian team.

Cricket coach Sanjay Bhardwaj says that to start playing cricket, one has to have basic understanding of cricket, knowledge of rules, vocabulary of the game, but what is more important than this is proper guidance and training.
He says,
One should start playing cricket from school level. Join a good cricket academy, get guidance from an experienced coach, join a cricket club and join private cricket tournaments. After this, one can become a part of professional cricket team at district, state or national level.
