Sunny Leone said- Misuse of my name in Chhattisgarh: Transfer of Rs 1,000 every month from Mahtari Vandan; Actress like 15000 forms rejected till now – Chhattisgarh News

Actress and former porn star Sunny Leone has posted on social media that her identity and name are being misused in the Chhattisgarh Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Sunny has said to cooperate in the investigation of the case.

Money for Mahtari Vandan has been taken by creating Sunny Leone's ID. A youth from Bastar has been arrested in the case. Mahtari Vandan's money has been transferred to Virendra Kumar Joshi's account. The young man has said that he will be trapped by misusing his documents. Ineligible people have been taking benefits of the scheme for a long time. After the allegations became public, more than 15 thousand applications have been canceled. Now recovery is also being done from many ineligible people who took money.

Sunny Leone shared the information by posting on Instagram.

According to officials of the Women and Child Development Department, an affidavit was taken from the applicants while submitting the application form. Recovery is being made from ineligible people on the basis of this affidavit. Along with ineligible people, action has also been taken against the departmental employees and officers who were negligent in monitoring the scheme.

The application was made in the name of Sunny Leone in Talur village of Bastar district.

Case 1- Application in the name of Sunny Leone

An application was submitted in the name of Sunny Leone and husband Johnny Sins for Mahtari Vandan Yojana in Talur village of Bastar district. This application was verified by the supervisor and Anganwadi worker and forwarded further.

The application was registered with the ID of Anganwadi worker Devmati Joshi. The name of the accused, Virendra Joshi, who had given fake application and bank account in Sunny's name, has been arrested. Action was taken against three officers and employees in this case.

Case 2- Benefits to unmarried relatives of Deputy Sarpanch

In Bastar district itself, unmarried relatives of the MLA representative are accused of taking advantage of this scheme. The Deputy Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Talnar has also complained about this to the SDM. Deputy Sarpanch said that three unmarried relatives of the MLA representative are taking advantage of this scheme, this should be investigated. Investigation has been started in the matter.

Pendra resident Kalam Singh Kanwar had filled it under the scheme.

Case 3- If not his wife, then Kalam Singh of Pendra had filled the form.

The issue of men filling the application form under Mahtari Vandan Yojana has also come to light. However, his application was rejected at that time. Kalam Singh Kanwar, a resident of Pendra, not only filled the form but also put pressure on the employees to collect it. He had said that there is no woman in his house, so he is filling the form.

Male applicants are availing the benefit of the scheme by filling the application in the name of a woman. Girls who are not married are also getting the benefit of the scheme. More than 21 thousand beneficiaries have died

Women and Child Development Department officials said that more than 21 thousand beneficiaries who took advantage of Mahtari Vandan Yojana have died. When this information came to light during the survey, their account was blocked. It is also being said that investigation will be underway against the beneficiaries who applied under the scheme.

Nodal officers rejected such applications

Women and Child Development Department officials said that the forms of women who are living with their husbands but have submitted the certificate of abandonment have been rejected. Apart from this, those girls who are not married have also filled the application form.

More than 70 lakh applications received under the scheme

To avail the benefits of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, 70 lakh 26 thousand 352 women from across the state have filled the application form. The last date for filling the form under the scheme was 20 February 2023. According to departmental officials, forms of 70 lakh 14 thousand 581 applicants have been selected. That means only more than 15 thousand applications were rejected.
