In an interview given to the Timeout with Ankit podcast, Sunita said, 'My sister was married to Govinda's maternal uncle Anand Singh. I saw him for the first time at this wedding. My brother-in-law said that Govinda is a very simple man who loves his mother very much.

Anand had offered Govinda his first film Tan Badan. He had also offered Sunita the role of the lead actress of the film, however she refused. After this, Khushboo Sundar was cast in this role.
