Saif Ali Khan case- Wrong man arrested!: Accused's samples did not match; CID had taken blood and fingerprint samples from the actor's house.

19 fingerprints collected after the attack on Saif Ali Khan are not matching with the fingerprints of accused Shariful Islam. This has come to light in the CID investigation. On January 16, Shariful Islam was arrested for attacking Saif.

According to sources, Mumbai Police had collected fingerprints and blood samples from the actor's house on Saturday. Which was sent to the Fingerprint Bureau of CID for investigation. After the investigation report came negative, Mumbai Police has sent more samples for further investigation.

Earlier it was reported that the police suspect that more than one accused may be involved in the case of attack on Saif Ali Khan.

Saif Ali Khan's statement recorded in the case

Saif Ali Khan had told in his statement to the police that on the night of January 16, he and his wife Kareena Kapoor were in their bedroom on the 11th floor when they heard the screams of their nurse Eliama Philip.

They ran towards Jahangir's room where Eliama Philip also slept. There he saw a stranger. Jahangir was also crying. Saif told that he caught the unknown person. After this he attacked, due to which Saif got injured. After this the attacker pushed away and ran away.

Medical report found knife wounds at 5 places

Actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed at five places. He had injuries on his back, wrist, neck, shoulder and elbow. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai in an auto rickshaw by his friend Officer Zaidi. This has come to light from Saif's medical report.

The report said, 'The size of the injuries ranged from 0.5 cm to 15 cm. On the night of the attack, Saif's friend Officer Zaidi took him to Lilavati Hospital at 4:11 in the morning and completed the formalities.

Accused's lawyer said the person seen in CCTV is different, custody increased

Mumbai Police presented the accused Shariful Islam in the court on Friday. The court sent him on police remand till January 29. Police suspect that more than one accused may be involved in the case of attack on Saif Ali Khan.

During the hearing, the court said that substantial progress has been made in the case. The crime is serious and is in the sessions court. Such investigation is also necessary to ascertain the innocence of the accused.

Police has already got 5 days remand. Statements of witnesses have also already been recorded. The police are also talking about recovering the shoes, whereas everything has already been taken from the accused's house. Police also have CCTV footage.

The lawyer said- Why does the police need custody for forensic investigation? There is no CCTV in the entire building, only on the sixth floor. And the face seen in the video that has surfaced does not match that of this accused. The Supreme Court had said that it is necessary to give information to the relatives of the accused, but the police did not do this.

Mumbai Police had arrested the accused Shariful late on the night of 19 January. The investigation of this case has now been handed over to Ajay Lingnukar instead of Sudarshan Gaikwad. The reason for the removal of the old Investigation Officer (IO) has not been given.

2. Accused Shariful told that he checked the ducts of many flats in the building, but because all the ducts were sealed and all the doors of other flats were closed, he could not enter the houses of others. Only Saif Ali Khan's backdoor was open in the entire building.

3. The accused told that he did not know that he had entered Saif Ali Khan's house. After watching the news in the morning, he came to know that he had entered the house of a big Bollywood actor. Police said that the CCTV of the main door of the building was switched off, but the private CCTVs of some flats were on.

4. The name of Saif Ali Khan's attacker was earlier revealed to be Vijay Das. But his real name is Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad and he is a Bangladeshi infiltrator.

Nitin Dange (hospital doctor): Saif had come inside the hospital on foot with his son Taimur. There were two wounds on his hand. There was also a wound on the neck, which has undergone plastic surgery.
