The story of 'Taaja Khabar Season 2' mainly revolves around the characters of Vasant Gawde aka Vasya and Yusuf Akhtar. Javed Jaffrey has breathed life into the character of Yusuf Akhtar. Bhuvan Bam has also tried to do complete justice to his character. But Javed looked a little weak in front of Jaffrey. Shriya Pilgaonkar has played the emotional scenes well. Mahesh Manjrekar's character in the role of Kismat Bhai appears to be nothing more than a cameo. Deven Bhojani did not live up to the role of Mehboob Bhai.
