'OTT platforms did oxygen work for the industry': Paresh Rawal said- flop films saved, veil for ugly bride

Being part of a better story is the greatest happiness

Regarding the film 'Story Taylor', Paresh Rawal says, 'It is very happy to be a part of such a great story. These are occasions that are very rare in someone's life. And when you work with good people, it is even more fun – like good directors, writers, actor and producer.

He says, 'When there is a chance to work on the story of Satyajit Ray, it is a matter of pride. We were a very big fan of Sir, could not work with him, but it is a matter of good fortune for us to get a chance to work in his written story.

Is there a shortage of story teller in Bollywood?

When Paresh Rawal was asked that there is a shortage of story teller in Bollywood, because more attention is being paid to remakes and sequels nowadays, he said, 'Yes, of course. We need more good story Taylor. There are very few good writers in Bollywood. There was a time when there were big writers like Salim-Javed, then this series stopped for some time. Now gradually some new writers are coming, but it still needs a lot.

He further said, 'Look, if you do not have a story then there is nothing. No matter how much you can make a film by bringing a beautiful camera work, beautiful hero-heroine, but if the story is not right, then how will the audience join? The story is the most important thing, and we have a lot of lack of good writer here.

Will Paresh ever become a writer or director?

Paresh Rawal was asked if he would contribute to the industry by becoming a writer or director. To this, he said, 'I am already a storyteller in the industry. Whatever story I do, it becomes my own story. My job is to present it well and I focus the full focus in it. '

He believes, 'There is no question of becoming a writer or director, because I like the role I am the most. I think it is most important to do your work from the heart and properly.

What is the opinion about OTT?

Raising his opinion on the OTT platform, Rawal says, 'OTT is good. The OTT has burnt oxygen in our industry. Has saved those films that were released in the theater, even a full show does not run. The OTT has saved life, saved respect. The OTT has done a veil for the ugly bride in many places.

Bollywood vs South: What is the actor's opinion?

The debate between Bollywood and South films is always hot and never ends. On this, Paresh Rawal says, 'The debate of Bollywood vs South, I do not understand why it is increased so much. Someone must have started it, but it has no meaning. Actually, the way to think is wrong. '

He further said, 'Whatever the language in India, we consider all the films as Indian films. We should learn from each other, as we learn from Hollywood, why can't South learning from films? It is the attitude that we are great Bollywood people and South people are low, it is absolutely wrong. '
