Actress Manisha Koirala has said that older actresses in the industry are sidelined. He does not get good roles in films. The character of just sister or mother is offered.
Manisha also revealed that she was not allowed to become a part of the round table conference 2-3 times because she is older. However, Manisha says that she will continue to work as long as it remains.
Women are trolled due to old age
In a conversation with the Free Press General, Manisha said- whether in the industry or elsewhere, aging is an issue for women. We have to be ashamed. I have never heard a troller to a man saying that he has grown old. But women are trolled for this.
I remember that for a round table conference, I was sidelined citing older age. Those people told me that it is for a certain age. I have seen this during a at least 2-3 round table conference. I was sidelined due to old age. This affects us.
Manisha said- As long as I am alive, I will keep working
Manisha further said- We need to show the world and ourselves that even after the age of 50 we can do wonders. We can still live a great life. We can still be good in our profession. We can still live a very happy and healthy life. As long as I am alive, I want to work and want to be healthy. I want to look beautiful.
Many people wonder that they have grown old, how can she work? Or only sister or mother's roles are offered. Women can also do powerful rolls. They can be luxurious, lively and full of enthusiasm. Many actresses have done this before me and I want to do so too. I still have hunger to work more. I want to move forward as an artist. Edge is just one number. 50 is just one number and it will not stop me.
