Malayalam actor Baburaj also accused of sexual abuse: Junior artist said- 'He came into the room and started forcing himself on me'

There has been an uproar in the Malayalam film industry since the Hema Committee report came out. Many actresses are accusing well-known makers and actors of sexual harassment.

Meanwhile, a junior artist has accused Malayalam actor Baburaj of sexual abuse.

Baburaj has been active in the South Indian industry since 1994. He also appeared in Priyadarshan's Hindi film 'Hulchul'.

These allegations against Baburaj came a day after veteran Malayalam actor Siddique resigned from the post of General Secretary of AMMA. Siddique was also accused of rape by a Malayalam actress.

Baburaj, apart from being a Malayalam actor, is also the Joint Secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).

The junior artist said- he called me home on some pretext
According to media reports, the artist said that Baburaj called her to his house in Kerala in 2019 and tried to force himself on her there.

The artist said- 'Baburaj called me on the pretext of casting me in the film. He said that there is a meeting at home in which the director and screenwriter will also be present.'

used to send offensive messages
The artist further said, 'When I reached his house, he was alone there. He sent me to a room and said wait, others are coming. Then after some time he came to the room and tried to force himself on me.

After this, I ran away from his house and never met the actor again, but despite this, he used to send me objectionable messages on social media. The junior artist has also accused Baburao of misbehaving with many other women.

The actor said- I knew such allegations would be made
Baburaj, on the other hand, denied these allegations of the artist and said that after the Hema Committee report came out, he was afraid that allegations would be made against him.
