An FIR has been filed against famous Malayalam film actor and CPI (M) Kollam MLA Mukesh M. Actress Meenu Muneer first accused Mukesh and 7 others of sexually abusing her on a film set through a Facebook post and then gave a written complaint to the Kerala Police.

On Thursday, Kerala Police registered a case under Section 354 of the IPC against 7 people including the 67-year-old actor and South actor Jayasurya. All these accused were mentioned by Meenu in her Facebook post. This case will be investigated by the SIT (Special Investigation Team), which has been formed to investigate cases of sexual harassment in the Malayalam film industry.

Meenu Munir told news agency ANI- I was coming out of the bathroom one day. Then Jayasurya hugged me from behind and then started kissing me forcefully. After some time, actor Idavelu Babu told me that he wanted to have a physical relationship with me.

Earlier, in her Facebook post, Meenu Munir had also mentioned the incident of 2013 and said that she was subjected to physical and verbal harassment on the sets of the film.

Mukesh said- I was being blackmailed for money
After Meenu's post went viral, Mukesh also gave clarification through a post. He wrote- The truth must come out, legal action will have to be faced. I welcome the investigation of the allegations being made against me and all those producers. A fair and transparent investigation is needed in this matter. Only then will the truth of the allegations come out.

Further the actor has written, this political drama happened in 2018 as well. In 2009, Meenu Kurien herself introduced herself to us as a cinema aspirant. She met me with a photo album. Whenever someone comes with a desire to work in films, he comes with photos. I told her that I will try my best to get her work. She even thanked me later praising my good behavior. At that time, she did not complain about any kind of bad behavior on my part in the meeting.

The actor has told that after this meeting, Meenu contacted him again in the year 2022. Then she was using her name Meenu Munir. She then asked me for financial help. She sent me a WhatsApp message in which she asked for Rs 1 lakh. I also got another message that if I do not give her money, then people from other communities will also interfere in this.

When they did not give the money, Meenu's husband messaged her and demanded a huge amount. The actor said, this gang was blackmailing me for money for a long time and now as soon as they got the chance, they have used it against me. I am telling all this with proof. I have the messages they have sent me. I am not someone who can ever hurt anyone's dignity. But I am not going to bow down to this blackmailing conspiracy.

Let us tell you that 67-year-old actor Mukesh is a well-known name in Malayalam cinema. In a film career spanning nearly 50 years, Mukesh has worked in 275 films.

The wife had accused him of extra marital affair and domestic violence
Senior actor Mukesh was accused of assault and domestic violence by his wife and actress Sarita a few years ago. After divorcing Mukesh in 2011, Sarita told in an interview to Manorama Online that Mukesh used to beat her often. Even when she was pregnant, Mukesh kicked her in the stomach, due to which she fell from the yard.

Sarita had told that the reason for the breakdown of her marriage was Mukesh's affair with other actresses and assault. After divorce from Sarita, Mukesh married classical dancer Maithili Devika in 2013, although the two separated in 2021.

Actress Revathi Sampath has stated in her complaint that 8 years ago in 2016, Siddiqui had called her to Muscat Hotel for talks regarding a film, where she was physically exploited.

After Revathi's allegations, Siddiqui filed a complaint with the Director General of Police, saying that serious allegations were being made against him to tarnish his image. He said in the complaint that he had met Revathi Sampath in 2016 in the presence of her parents.

Let us tell you that senior actor Siddiqui was the general secretary of AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists). In 2019, the Hema Committee was formed for female artists in Malayalam cinema. After the report came out, senior actor Siddiqui held a press conference and rejected the claims made in the reports.
