Mumbai Police recreated the scene of the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan in the early hours of Tuesday. The team collected a total of 19 fingerprints from the bathroom window, shaft and staircase of Saif's house. Police believe that the accused entered Saif's house through the bathroom window and came back from here after the attack.
Saif was attacked at around 2 am on January 15; he suffered serious injuries on his spine and neck. After this he reached Lilavati Hospital, where he is being treated. According to media reports, Saif Ali Khan may be discharged from the hospital today. The accused in the Saif attack case was arrested by the police late night on 19 January.

The labor supplier gave the mobile number of the accused, which was matched with the online payment made at the Anda Pav shop. When both the numbers matched, his location was traced. He was arrested near the labor camp in Thane late on Sunday night. After this, the parents of the accused in Bangladesh identified him.
Police claim- The accused came to India and changed his name. Police also said that the full name of the arrested accused is Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad. His age is 30 years. After coming to India illegally, he changed his name to Vijay Das. He came to Mumbai 5-6 months ago. Used to work in a housekeeping agency here. He had entered Saif Ali Khan's apartment for the first time.
