Adil Hussain recently appeared in the film 'Storytellor', in which Paresh Rawal was also in the lead role. The film has received awards in big festivals like 'International Film Festival of India', 'Busan International Film Festival' and 'Indian Film Festival of Melbourne'.
During a conversation with Dainik Global News Daily, Adil Hussain expressed his happiness on this global appreciation and shared his experiences about the film. Read the major parts of the conversation:
When Makers Done To you ,Storyteller, of Script Gave, So Yours First Reaction What Was, Satyajit Ray of Stories From By joining To you How? Feel Happened,
The first reaction was- Why was this story not made earlier? Why no one has made it so far, written years ago, which was written years ago? Then thought- how lucky I got a chance to be a part of it.
Satyajit Ray is known for his special characters and stories. I am from Assam and was Bengal near my house, where I was very connected to Bengali literature and cinema. Assam also has good litterateurs and artists, so I am deeply associated with the culture of both places. This is the reason why I have become what I am today. When I got a chance to be a part of 'Storytellor', it seemed as if I had become a part of Satyajit Ray's world. It seems that perhaps something good would have been done in a previous life, then this opportunity was given today.
Do you think that our film industry should promote artistic films like Satyajit Ray more, so that the new generation can understand the real depth of cinema?
I think there should be a place for all kinds of films. If we believe in diversity in society, then the same should happen in cinema. But nowadays people are watching life in an easy way instead of looking deeply. For this, makers, actors and producers have to work hard.
We often assume that the audience will not understand deep films, but if the film is entertaining and shows the human emotions properly, then people will definitely like it. Filmmakers should focus on craft and promote such films.
This Movie To Global Enough Appreciate Found Is, One actor Of Form In, When Yours Movies Or Projects Global appreciation to Meet Is, So He Experience How much Satisfactory Would Is,
Yes, this is very special because the art in which we believe can be understood in any language of the world. When people from different countries appreciate him, it seems that we are going in the right direction. It is very inspiring.
The biggest meaning is that it feels that we are all the same, even if we have come from different places and cultures. When we show these emotions in our films, it is very satisfactory.
Worried Rawal Sir Of with OfM Do Of Experience How? Raised,
Working with Paresh sir was fantastic. We had a lot of fun on the set. He is not only a great actor, but also a very good person. We also had good things about the theater and enjoyed working with them. I consider myself lucky that Anand ji made me a part of this film.
Shooting Of during Any Funny Anecdote, Who Today Too Memory Come yes,
Yes, both were constantly improving each other, especially with my character. In the film, I featured Gujarati, and Paresh Sir in Bengali. Playing such a character was a challenge for both and directors. Directors always put actors in a bit difficult to improve their performance. I like to work with such directors, because I think it makes a good job.
Now till Of Our career From You How many? Satisfied Are,
I do not consider my work just a career, because acting is a part of life for me. I love this work so much that I consider it not just a profession, but my life.
Your identity is for your impeccable thinking. Have it ever felt that because of this impunity, a film or project went by hand?
(Laughing) Even if you have gone, I do not know. I have to choose from the movies and projects that come to me. And those who did not come were probably not for me. I think what is right for me, he comes to me- whether it is movies, friends or any chance. Those who are not made for me do not come to me, and that's fine.
I think whatever has been found is mine and what not found is also my part somewhere. I am happy with my journey and also grateful for it.
