A woman was killed while her 9-year-old son Sritej was seriously injured in a stampede at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad during the premiere of 'Pushpa 2'. On Wednesday (December 18), Allu Arjun's father Allu Arvind reached KIMS hospital to meet Shritej. During this, he met the victim's family and assured them of all possible help. On Tuesday, city police commissioner CV Anand and Telangana government's health secretary Dr Christina IAS also reached the hospital to inquire about the well-being of Shretej.
The actor's father Allu Arvind said, 'We will fully support the family of the deceased. The government is also with us in this. Allu Arjun could not come here due to legal action on this matter. I have come here today in his place. The child's condition is gradually improving in the last 10 days, but it may take more time.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand and Telangana Government Health Secretary Dr. Christina IAS had reached KIMS Hospital on December 17 to inquire about the well being of Shritej. The Police Commissioner had said, 'Shreetej had become brain dead due to inability to breathe during the stampede and it will take a long time for him to recover.'
Health Secretary Dr Christina said that we are regularly monitoring Shretej's health condition and hope for his speedy recovery.
Know what is the whole matter? Actually, Allu Arjun came for the premiere of the film at Sandhya Theater on 4th December without informing. Due to this the fans were eager to meet Allu Arjun. A large number of fans tried to enter the theater with him. Due to this, a huge crowd gathered in the theater and then people started having difficulty in breathing.
The police used mild lathicharge to bring the crowd under control. After the crowd subsided, people who became unconscious due to suffocation were admitted to the hospital. But during this time the doctor had declared a woman dead in the hospital.
Allu Arjun was in custody for 18 hours Allu was also arrested by the police in this case at 12 noon on Friday. After his arrest, he was produced in the local court at 4 o'clock, from where he was sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Allu had appealed to the Telangana High Court for interim bail and was released after about 18 hours.
