I like football. I don't need to impress anyone because that's not why I play. I have responsibilities and goals, but I fulfill them with joy. I just concentrate on what I'm doing and enjoy it. I start early and work late. It took me 17 years and 114 days to become an overnight success. There is no shortcut to success. You have to work hard continuously, day after day, for months and years. Don't care about obstacles and failures. You have to fight to reach your dream. You have to make sacrifices and work hard. I don't pay much attention to praise because in the end you just want improvement. When I am on the field, I try to give my best. When people associated with football say good things about me, I am grateful to them. But I try not to let criticism or praise affect my life. I pay a lot of attention to the team and always emphasize what we can achieve as a team. There are many times when I see that we have performed very well, everyone has worked together and everyone is contributing. It is really a pleasure and inspires me a lot. I work hard to improve the team's results and enjoy it a lot. There are moments on the playground where there is tension and nervousness and everything happens so quickly that you don't have time to think, so you react the way you did. I try not to deprive myself of anything by thinking about stress. Defeat bothers me too, but only for a short time. If you are a professional then you cannot stop at defeat, troublesome moments have no place in your life. You have to think about the next opportunity to win. There is no question of expressing regret.
love this game Money is not a motivating factor. Money doesn't excite me or motivate me to play better. I feel happy when the ball is near my feet. Love for sports is my inspiration. If I wasn't paid to be a professional footballer, I would still be ready to play.
improvements never stop I always remember the goals which are important. I remember the goals scored in the final. The success achieved cannot reduce your desire for the next victory. There is scope for improvement in every player. The day you feel there is no need for improvement anymore, is a sad day for any player. (Legendary footballer Lionel Messi in various interviews. Recently he scored his 10th international hat-trick.)
