Medicines for BP, sugar and fever fail in test: Do not depend on doctors and pharma companies, take the responsibility of your health in your own hands.

What do you usually do when you have cold and fever? The answer would be that we take medicines after consulting the doctor. In case of diabetes and hypertension, medicines are taken regularly. After this he becomes worried and says, 'We have taken the medicine, now there is nothing to worry about.'

In the last few months, several medicines have failed quality tests during inspections by drug regulatory body CDSCO (Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation). This means that the medicine is not effective for the disease it was meant to treat. The side effects of that medicine can also be serious. Overall, it is not safe to consume medicines that fail the quality test. Therefore, even after taking medicine, we cannot remain relaxed.

India's largest drug regulatory body CDSCO has released the list of 48 medicines. These medicines have failed in the random sample quality test conducted in the month of August. A total of 53 medicines failed in this testing, while 5 of these medicines are such which the companies have refused to accept as their own. These were fake medicines, which were being sold in the market in the name of some pharmaceutical companies.
