Sun God is the only directly visible god. Surya is included in the Panchadevas. The Panchadevas include Lord Ganesha, Shiva, Vishnu and Goddess Durga along with Surya. These five Gods and Goddesses are worshiped at the beginning of any work. Without their worship, no auspicious work can begin.
