Bhadrapada Amavasya on 2nd and 3rd September: After worshipping Lord Shiva and Vishnu on Kushagrahani Amavasya, do incense and meditation for the ancestors

The new moon day of the month of Bhadrapada is called Kushagrahani Amavasya. This year, due to the variation in the dates, this new moon day will be for two days (2 and 3 September). In the olden days, people who used to do Puja-Paath used to collect Kusha grass for the whole year on this date, because this grass has special importance in worship. Without Kusha, the Puja-Paath and Dhoop-Dhyan done for the ancestors are considered incomplete. Astrologer of Ujjain, Pandit Manish Sharma says that the new moon day of Monday is called Somvati and the new moon day of Tuesday is called Bhaumvati. This time Somvati Amavasya will be on 2 September and Bhaumvati Amavasya will be on 3 September. Know which auspicious works can be done on this date…
