Today (Tuesday, November 19) is Aghan Krishna Chaturthi. Since this date falls on Tuesday, it is named Angarak Chaturthi. On this date, fasting is observed for Lord Ganesha. It is believed that the devotees who observe Chaturthi fast bring happiness, peace and prosperity in their families.
This is how you can consecrate Lord Ganesha
Anoint Lord Ganesha with scented water and Panchamrit. To make the water fragrant, add fragrant flowers like rose, mogra in the water and then anoint the Lord with this water. To make Panchamrit, mix milk, curd, ghee, honey and sugar candy.
After anointing the Lord, adorn Lord Ganesha with clothes, necklaces and flowers. Offer sacred thread to Lord Ganesha. Offer worship materials like Kumkum, Gulal etc.
Offer Durva. Offer laddus and durva. Perform Aarti by lighting incense sticks. Chant the mantra Om Gan Ganpatayai Namah during worship.
At the end of the puja, ask for forgiveness from God for your known or unknown mistakes. After the puja, distribute the prasad and take it yourself.
Take a pledge to observe Chaturthi fast in front of God during puja. People who observe Chaturthi fast remain fasting throughout the day, that is, the fasting people do not consume food throughout the day. The fast is broken in the evening after darshan of Moon God and worship of Lord Ganesha.
This is how you can worship Mars
In astrology, Mars is called the commander. The birth place of Mars is Ujjain. Mother of Mangal Dev is Bhoomi Devi. Mars is worshiped in the form of Shivalinga. Therefore, there is a tradition of doing special worship of Lord Shiva on Angarak Chaturthi.
Along with the sacred thread, offer Bilva leaves, figures of flowers, sacred thread along with red gulal and red flowers on Shivling.
Offer sweets to Lord Shiva. Perform Aarti by lighting incense sticks. Chant the auspicious mantras Om Angarakay Namah and Om Bhaun Bhaumay Namah. You can also donate lentils for Mars.
This is how you can worship Hanumanji
On Tuesday and Chaturthi, light a lamp in front of Lord Hanuman and recite Hanuman Chalisa. Offer vermillion and jasmine oil to Hanuman ji in any Hanuman temple. If you have enough time, you can also recite Sunderkand on this day.
