Sensex opened 193 points higher at 77,349: Nifty also fell 60 points, buying in IT, banking and auto sectors

Today, on November 22, the last trading day of the week, the Sensex opened with a gain of 193 points at the level of 77,349. Nifty is also up by 60 points, it is trading at the level of 23,410.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 are rising and 8 are declining. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 38 are rising and 12 are declining. Buying is being seen in shares of IT, banking and auto sectors.

Foreign investors sold shares worth ₹5,320.68 crore

In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei is up by 1.02% and Korea's Kospi is up by 1.10%. China's Shanghai Composite Index is trading with a decline of 0.46%. On November 21, America's Dow Jones rose 1.06% to 43,870 and the S&P 500 closed 0.53% higher at 5,948. Nasdaq also closed 0.033% higher at 18,972. According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹5,320.68 crore on November 21. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹ 4,200.16 crore.

Today is the last day to bid for the IPO of NTPC Green Energy Limited. This issue has been subscribed a total of 0.99 times in two trading days. This IPO has been subscribed 2.53 times in the retail category, 0.79 times in the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) category and 0.36 times in the Non-Institutional Investors (NII) category. The company's shares will be listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on November 27.

The market closed with a decline yesterday

Earlier yesterday i.e. on November 21, the Sensex had closed at the level of 77,155 with a fall of 422 points. At the same time, Nifty also fell by 168 points, it closed at the level of 23,349.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 20 were in decline and 10 were up. Adani Enterprises shares were the top Nifty loser, falling 23.44% after being accused of fraud-bribery in New York.
