Sensex fell 836 points and closed at 79,541: Nifty also fell 284 points, metal sector fell the most by 2.73%.

Today i.e. on November 7, the Sensex closed at 79,541 with a fall of 836 points. Nifty also fell by 284 points, it closed at the level of 24,199.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 29 declined and 1 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 46 declined and 4 rose. All the sectoral indices of NSE closed with a decline. The metal sector witnessed the biggest decline of 2.73%.

There was mixed trading in Asian markets

ICICI Bank, Reliance, Infosys, Bharti Airtel and HDFC Bank were the biggest losers in the market. Whereas, SBI and TCS dragged the market down. In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei fell by 0.25%. Whereas Korea's Kospi closed with a rise of 0.044% and China's Shanghai Composite closed with a rise of 2.57%. On November 6, America's Dow Jones closed with a rise of 3.57% at 43,729 and the S&P 500 closed with a rise of 2.53% at 5,929. Nasdaq closed 2.95% higher at 18,983. According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹4,445.59 crore on November 6. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹ 4,889.33 crore.

Second day of bidding for Swiggy and ACME Solar Holdings Today is the second day of bidding for the IPO of Swiggy Limited and ACME Solar Holdings Limited. Swiggy total was subscribed 0.12 times on the first day. The issue was subscribed 0.56 times in the retail category and 0.06 times in the non-institutional investors (NII) category.

There was a rise in the market yesterday Earlier yesterday i.e. on November 6, the Sensex had closed at 80,378 with a rise of 901 points (1.13%). Nifty also rose by 270 points (1.12%), it closed at the level of 24,484. At the same time, BSE Smallcap closed at the level of 56,008 with a rise of 1,077 points (1.96%).

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 25 were up and 5 were down. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 41 were up and 9 were down. All sectoral indices of NSE were on the rise. The IT sector had the highest increase of 4.05%.
