No change in petrol and diesel prices today: Zomato-Swiggy accused of violating competition norms, Activa's electric model will be launched on November 27

Yesterday's big news was related to Zomato-Swiggy. Competition Commission of India i.e. CCI has found food delivery platforms Zomato and Swiggy guilty of violating competition norms i.e. competition laws.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is preparing to launch its first electric two-wheeler. According to media reports, the company will launch an electric scooter in the Indian market on November 27, it could be E-Activa.

The stock market will remain closed today due to Sunday holiday. There is no change in the prices of petrol and diesel.

1. Zomato-Swiggy accused of violating competition norms: CCI said- both companies involved in unfair business practice

Competition Commission of India i.e. CCI has found food delivery platforms Zomato and Swiggy guilty of violating competition norms i.e. competition laws. According to reports, CCI has found in the investigation that Zomato and Swiggy have been found involved in unfair business practices.

CCI has also said that both the platforms were giving preferential i.e. special treatment to some restaurant partners. The Competition Commission had ordered a detailed investigation against both the companies in April 2022 and the investigation report was submitted to the regulator i.e. CCI earlier this year.

2. Started energy generation business after energy conservation: ACME Solar's listing on BSE-NSE on November 13, founder said – thermal power will be replaced by hybrid power.

The initial public offer of ACME Solar Holdings Limited was subscribed a total of 2.89 times. Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) subscribed the most by 3.72 times and the Retail Investor category subscribed 3.25 times. Whereas, non-institutional investors (NII) category filled 1.02 times.

3. There was a decline in gold and silver this week: Gold fell by Rs 1,043 to Rs 77,382, silver was being sold at Rs 91,130 per kg.

According to the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), on last Saturday i.e. 2 November, gold was at Rs 78,425, which has now come down to Rs 77,382 per 10 grams (9 November). That means its price has decreased by Rs 1,043 this week.

Talking about silver, it was at Rs 93,501 last Saturday, which has now come down to Rs 91,130 per kg. In this way, its price has decreased by Rs 2,371 this week. On October 23, silver had made an all-time high of Rs 99,151 and on October 30, gold had made an all-time high of Rs 79,681.

4. Jinka Logistics Solutions' IPO will open from November 13: Investors can bid till November 18, minimum investment will be Rs 14,742.

The initial public offer, i.e. IPO, of Jinka Logistics Solutions Limited will open from November 13. Retail investors will be able to bid in this issue till November 18. After this, allotment will take place on 19th November and listing of shares on BSE and NSE will take place on 21st November.

In this IPO of size Rs 1114.72 crore, new shares worth Rs 550 crore will be issued, while 2.16 crore shares will be offered for sale by existing shareholders and promoters. The value of OFS at the upper price band will be approximately Rs 564.72 crore.

5. Activa's electric model will be launched on November 27: Will get a range of more than 100km on full charge, will compete with Ather Razta.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is preparing to launch its first electric two-wheeler. According to media reports, the company will launch an electric scooter in the Indian market on November 27, it could be E-Activa. The launch invitation sent by Honda has given slogans like 'What's Ahead' and 'Lightning Bolt'.

The company says that this scooter will be as powerful as Activa 110 and it will get a range of 100km on a single charge. It will also be launched with swappable battery. The company recently introduced its concept model at the EICMA auto show held in Milan, Italy. After launch, it will compete with the likes of TVS i-Cube, Ather Rizta, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak and Ola S1 range.
