ICC President Jay Shah has met International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach regarding the inclusion of cricket in the Brisbane 2032 Olympics. The IOC session meeting is to be held on January 30 at the Olympic House in Lausanne, Switzerland.
On Tuesday, ICC posted Jay Shah's photo on social media, ICC wrote, efforts are on to include cricket in the Olympics. Jay Shah met IOC President Thomas Bach in Lausanne, Switzerland this week.

Shah also met the CEO of Cricket Australia last month. Shah was in Brisbane during the third Test between India and Australia in Brisbane, when he had demanded the inclusion of cricket in the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. Shah also held a meeting with Olympic Organizing Committee chief Cindy Hook and Cricket Australia (CA) CEO Nick Hockley.
Jay Shah had then said, This is an exciting time for the sport as we prepare for the LA28 Olympic Games. We are all working to make cricket more attractive for fans around the world.

IOC told about meeting session in October 2024 The International Olympic Committee had issued a press release in October 2024 informing about the session meeting of 30 January 2025. The statement said, the IOC session will be held on January 30 at the Olympic House, Lausanne.
