Varun Dhawan made his Bollywood debut with the film Student of the Year opposite Sidharth Malhotra. Now in a recent interview, Varun has revealed that during the shooting he became very insecure with Siddharth's personality. He began to fear whether he would be able to establish his own identity or not, whether people would see his work or not.

In an interview given to YouTuber Shubhankar Mitra, Varun said – He was tall, good looking and there were two heroes in the film. At that time I thought he was amazing and looked handsome. Because of this people will only see him. Will people even notice me or not? What if my dream remains just a dream?
'I had to struggle a lot'
Varun further said- Apart from this, negativity regarding nepotism also started at the same time. During that time, I had not planned anything before entering the industry. All I knew was that I worked hard and I deserve it. But people were saying something else. I haven't had a comfortable start. Rather I had to struggle a lot. No matter what happens, I will keep fighting.
Varun has worked as an assistant director
Before working as an actor, Varun worked with Karan Johar as an assistant director in the film My Name is Khan. Recently Varun's film Baby John has been released.
