Congress leader Rahul Gandhi went ziplining in Wayanad, Kerala on Tuesday (November 12). This 400 meter long zipline is the longest zipline in Kerala. Rahul shared the video of this adventure sports on his YouTube channel. He said that tourism in Wayanad has suffered damage due to the earthquake, but let me tell you that the impact of the earthquake was in a limited area. Wayanad is absolutely safe.
His sister Priyanka also accompanied Rahul to the Adventure Park, although she did not do ziplining. Both of them talked to the employees of the adventure park. Rahul said in the video that despite the recent challenges, these people have not given up. He has created tremendous attractions in Wayanad. I tried the zipline myself, and I really enjoyed it.
Rahul said that this is more than politics for me. The people of Wayanad have made a place in my heart. Priyanka and I have made it our mission to make Wayanad the top tourist destination in Kerala. Rahul wore I Love Wayanad t-shirt in the election rally Rahul had held an election rally for his sister Priyanka in Wayanad on Monday. During this, he was seen in his trademark white t-shirt, on the back of which was written 'I Wayanad'. While rallying with Priyanka, he showed this T-shirt to the people of Wayanad.
Rahul said that the people of Wayanad showed him so much affection that his entire outlook on politics changed. After coming here, he started using the word 'love' in politics. He said that to express my gratitude for the love I have received from you, I am wearing the 'I Love Wayanad' t-shirt.
After Rahul Gandhi chose Rae Bareli seat, Congress has made Priyanka its candidate from Wayanad seat. This is Priyanka Gandhi's first Lok Sabha election. He is contesting against BJP's Navya Haridas. Elections are being held in Wayanad today. The result will come on 23rd November.
During the rally, Rahul expressed his love by kissing Priyanka on the cheek.
1. Wayanad taught me the word love in politics Rahul said that Wayanad completely changed his thinking towards politics and work in five years. When I came here, my relationship with the people here was different. Generally our relationships in politics are based on give and take – like you do this for us, we will do that for you, but the relationship in Wayanad was not like that.
And I realized something. I started politics in 2004 and became Wayanad MP in 2019. In my 15 years of politics, I had never used the word 'love'. But after coming to Wayanad, 'love' entered my political dictionary.
2. I consider myself an unofficial MP of Wayanad. Rahul said that when I did the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, the main idea of that trip was to use love and affection as a political tool. This means that if someone is abusing you, hating you or trying to hurt you, you don't respond in the same way. This is what I learned from the people of Wayanad.
It is always a pleasure to visit Wayanad. I have come here as a campaigner, not as a candidate. I feel honored to be your unofficial MP. Whenever I come here, I feel really happy.
3. Priyanka will make Wayanad a top tourist destination Rahul said that Priyanka Gandhi is the MP candidate here. She is also my younger sister, so I have the right to complain about her to the people of Wayanad. My sister's speech was full of love, not like a typical political campaign.
Rahul also challenged Priyanka to make Wayanad the top tourist destination in Kerala. He said that this will benefit the people and economy of Wayanad and the world will be able to know its beauty.
On the last day of campaign, Rahul and Priyanka did a road show.
Rahul had said- I will keep visiting Wayanad While leaving Wayanad seat on June 17, Rahul had said – I have an emotional connection with Wayanad and Rae Bareli. I was an MP from Wayanad for the last 5 years. I thank people for their love and support. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will contest from Wayanad, but I will also visit Wayanad from time to time. I have a long association with Rae Bareli, I am glad that I will get a chance to represent them again, but it was a difficult decision.
