Trolling has started regarding Shahbaz Sharif's congratulatory message to Trump. Actually, the Government of Pakistan has banned X in the country. In such a situation, it is believed that he has used VPN to congratulate Trump.
Use of VPN is illegal in Pakistan. Commenting on his post, a user wrote that if hypocrisy had any face, it would have been Shehbaz Sharif.
X was banned as a threat to national security
Pakistan's Information Minister Ataullah Tardar had imposed a temporary ban on X in April this year. Tard said that the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) was using it for anti-national activities. This ban still continues.
There was a lot of controversy in Pakistan after banning X. The Pakistani government had accused X of not following local rules. Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan was also very active on this platform.
The Pakistani government's ban is not limited to just x. Pakistan has also banned platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Facebook.
