Canadian PM Justin Trudeau attends Diwali celebrations at the Canadian Parliament Parliament Hill on November 8. Here he gave a statement regarding Khalistan supporters.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has given a big statement amid the ongoing diplomatic dispute between India and Canada. He has admitted for the first time that Khalistan supporters are present in Canada. However, he also said that these people do not represent the entire Sikh community.

Trudeau said this at the Diwali celebration organized at the Canadian Parliament Parliament Hill on November 8. He also said that many Hindus living in Canada are also supporters of PM Modi, but they do not represent the entire Canadian Hindu society.

In fact, India alleges that Canada provides shelter to Khalistani terrorists. Till now the Canadian PM and other ministers have rejected this allegation. In such a situation, Trudeau's statement is being considered very important.

PM Modi had strongly condemned this attack. He wrote on social media-

I strongly condemn the deliberate attack on a Hindu temple in Canada. The cowardly attempts to intimidate our diplomats are equally condemnable. Such violent acts can never weaken India's resolve. We hope the Government of Canada will ensure justice and uphold the rule of law.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also condemned the attack on the temple. He had said- 'The violence at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton cannot be accepted. Every Canadian has the right to practice their religion freely and safely.'

India had said that these allegations are baseless and absurd. Canadian officials are deliberately making allegations as part of a strategy to defame India. Then leak it in the international media. This will have a serious impact on the relations between the two countries.
